Step 1

Warming up

Play different kinds of music. For example, pop music, dance music, rock music, classical music, jazz music, country music and so on . Listen to the music, trying to recognize what kind of music they are. 創(chuàng)設(shè)輕松和諧課堂氣氛，讓學生自然進入本節(jié)課主題。

Step 2

Lead-in Tell the students to talk about the questions: Do you like music? What kind of music do you like?

Write the topic of this lesson on the blackboard. Take an active part in the discussion. 起導入話題作用，激發(fā)學生的興趣。

Step 3

Presentation 1. Show the students the dialogue pattern:

- What kind of weather do you like?

- I like sunny weather .

- Why?

- Because it’s warm. I like the weather which/that is warm.

2. ask the students to practice different topic: animal, movie, music, etc.

(1) - What kind of animal do you like?

- I like elephones .

- Why?

- Because they’re smart. I like animals which/that are smart.

(2) - What kind of movie do you like?

- I like comedies .

- Why?

- Because they’re funny. I like movies which/that are funny.

(3) - What kind of music do you like?

- I like rock music .

- Why?

- Because it’s loud and energetic. I like music which/that is lond and energetic. / I like music which/that has great lyrics. / I prefer music which/that I can sing along with. / I prefer music which/that I can dance to.

Let the students of each group to talk about the music they like by using the model, then fill in the forms :

2. Task Two: Make a report

Ask one student from each group to represent his or her group to have a report according to the survy. Report like this:

2. Understand the task and work in group after the model and make a report. 通過詢問本組同學喜歡音樂的種類并在全班同學面前做匯報，鞏固新知識、鍛煉學生的語言運用能力，并達到學以致用的目的。學生通過參與活動，使課堂生動活潑起來，有利于活躍課堂氣氛。兩個任務活動都在小組中進行，這樣可以培養(yǎng)學生之間的合作學習能力和團結(jié)合作精神。

Listening (1b) Play the tape, let the studentd listen to 1b. Listen and check the kinds of music Tony and Betty like. 聽錄音，訓練學生的聽力，進一步掌握本課的目標語言。

教學反思

1. 本節(jié)課主要體現(xiàn)了任務型教學原則，讓學生在“學中用，用中學”。學生活動的設(shè)計貼近學生生活和經(jīng)驗，使學生在自然、真實的情境中體會語言，掌握語言，并得體地加以運用。學生通過完成Pairwork , Groupwork , Listening and speaking等特定的任務來獲得并積累學習經(jīng)驗。在任務進行的過程，學生有充分的時間和空間展示自我。

2. 引導學生總結(jié)自己所體會的學習經(jīng)驗，以此來鞏固知識并培養(yǎng)學生的學習策略。

3. 開展小組合作學習，并積極開展學習小組之間的競爭，前三名的小組被評為先進學習小組，從而激發(fā)學生的興趣和參與熱情，培養(yǎng)了小組成員之間的團結(jié)合作精神和競爭意識，提高了學生完成任務的質(zhì)量。

小組合作學習中出現(xiàn)的一些問題是由于學生不善于合作，不知道怎樣合作造成的。因此，在英語教學中教師要有意識地逐漸培養(yǎng)學生的合作學習能力。例如，培養(yǎng)學生學會如何表達自己的觀點、學會傾聽他人的意見、學會討論問題、認識小組合作學習的重要性、建立團結(jié)互助的關(guān)系和增強小組成員的集體責任感等等。
