　　戴維·赫伯特·勞倫斯(1885-1930)是二十世紀(jì)英國(guó)最獨(dú)特和最有爭(zhēng)議的作家之一。勞倫斯提倡人性自由發(fā)展，反對(duì)工業(yè)文明對(duì)自然的破壞。他的作品對(duì)家庭、婚姻和性進(jìn)行了深入探索，對(duì)20世紀(jì)的小說(shuō)寫作產(chǎn)生了廣泛影響。他是英國(guó)詩(shī)人、小說(shuō)家、散文家，曾在國(guó)內(nèi)外漂泊十多年。他寫過(guò)詩(shī)，但主要寫長(zhǎng)篇小說(shuō)，共有10部，最著名的為《虹》(1915)、《愛(ài)戀中的女人》(1921)和《查特萊夫人的情人》(1928)。
