春節(jié)的英語作文 篇2
The road to life is long, and the joys and sorrows are in it. A few, I have lived fourteen years, another ten years, then I will graduate, to the society. All of a sudden, I found myself trying to get over the decade.
Looking back over the past fourteen years, it is very kind and nostalgic. I have been transformed from an ignorant, childish child into an ideal man with an ideal city. It all seemed to be going too fast, giving people a sense of being ungrounded. But sat down quietly thought, this period and indeed many, many things have happened, kindergarten, junior, senior, site of some of the familiar picture in front of my eyes like a movie playing fast, there is laughter, tears; But once I shut down the player in my heart, it seemed so far away and impractical. So I want to turn off the DVD player, put on wings and fly gently to ten years later... Looking forward to ten years later, I may be looking for a job with a bag on my back. Maybe I was eating ice cream at the office and playing games, maybe I was struggling to start my own new field, maybe... I seem to be able to feel the state of mind in ten years, whether it be pain, happiness, the same enrichment, exhilarating. I can use my own wisdom and my own hands to paint the beautiful colors of life, and savor the taste of life. The important thing is that I will have higher iqs, see farther eyes and walk a lot of feet, I will be independent, independent, do a lot of meaningful things.
When I think about it, I get excited and excited. I am still only in a small space, but after ten years, I will open up a bigger and bigger world, and I will be able to create everything with my hands!
I wish I could cross this decade!
春節(jié)的英語作文 篇3
Dear Kim:
I feel so happy to hear that you are interested in the Chinese spring festival, which is one most important symbol of Chinese culture. With my great honor, I am here sharing my knowledge about it with you.
The spring festival, also called Chinese New Year, enjoys a long history of over 4,000 years. Unlike other festivals, the Spring festival is a period of time, rather than a single day. It starts from the first day of a new year and ends on January 15th, , of course in the Chinese lunar calendar. But people usually start to celebrate the Spring Festival on the day before the New Year's Day, which is called "New Year's Eve", when all members of a family get together, have a big meal together(called Nian Ye Fan in Chinese) and watch the Spring Festival gala, indulged in the especially warm and sweet atmosphere of reunion.
There are a variety of activities during the Spring festival, among which at least three deserve your special attention. First, when the new year's first bell rings out the old year and rings in the new, adults and children get out of the houses and light crackers and fireworks, which decorates the sky into a colorful and magnificent stage.
Then, on the morning of the New Year's Day, people get up very early to stick couplets, on which all good wished are presented. Meanwhile, the red color of the couplets adds much to the joy of the splendid festival.
In addition, we have to visit our relatives from door to door as of the first day of the Spring Festival until the Lantern Festival, which is supposed to be a conclusion of the whole Spring Festival.
Kim, the short letter here surely fails me to give you a complete account of our Spring Festival. I sincerely hope, if possible, that you can come here in China to have a real experience about it.
Best wishes!
Yours,
Li Hua

春節(jié)的英語作文 篇6
The Chinese New Year is now popularly known as the Spring Festival because it starts from the Begining of Spring (the first of the twenty-four terms in coodination with the changes of Nature). Its origin is too old to be traced. Several explanations are hanging around. All agree, however, that the word Nian, which in modern Chinese solely means "year", was originally the name of a monster beast that started to prey on people the night before the beginning of a new year.
One legend goes that the beast Nian had a very big mouth that would swallow a great many people with one bite. People were very scared. One day, an old man came to their rescue, offering to subdue Nian. To Nian he said, "I hear say that you are very capable, but can you swallow the other beasts of prey on earth instead of people who are by no means of your worthy opponents?" So, it did swallow many of the beasts of prey on earth that also harrassed people and their domestic animals from time to time.
After that, the old man disappeared riding the beast Nian. He turned out to be an immortal god. Now that Nian is gone and other beasts of prey are also scared into forests, people begin to enjoy their peaceful life. Before the old man left, he had told people to put up red paper decorations on their windows and doors at each year's end to scare away Nian in case it sneaked back again, because red is the color the beast feared the most.
From then on, the tradition of observing the conquest of Nian is carried on from generation to generation. The term "Guo Nian", which may mean "Survive the Nian" becomes today "Celebrate the (New) Year" as the word "guo" in Chinese having both the meaning of "pass-over" and "observe". The custom of putting up red paper and firing fire-crackers to scare away Nian should it have a chance to run loose is still around. However, people today have long forgotten why they are doing all this, except that they feel the color and the sound add to the excitement of the celebration.
春節(jié)的英語作文 篇7
The Spring Festival is coming! The Spring Festival is coming!
The Spring Festival is our most traditional festival in China. The Spring Festival, people will love their own room clean, and posted on the door of "happiness", and then hang a ready meal, antithetical couplet, treat yourself to years of hard work; each is decorated, everywhere is the high streets and back lanes, red lanterns, Chinese knots, it is a lively scene, bursting with happiness.
From the beginning of the year, Chinese people will visit their elders, visit relatives and friends, and send beautiful gifts and good blessings to express their own heart. In addition to visit relatives and friends, visit their elders, gifts and blessings, Chinese there is a traditional custom, is the elders to give younger people than their son or daughter to gift money, this custom to now have not changed, just change the value just like now, some 100 yuan, some 500 yuan, some 600 yuan, or 1000 yuan......
Usually in the new year's day, mom and dad go to the elders to pay New Year's call. When they pass the first day, they can visit new friends or relatives, and they can also go out to travel or stay at home. Of course, in addition to the new year and the money, children's favorite "New Year's new year program" is to set off firecrackers and fireworks. Every Spring Festival, my father buys me a lot of firecrackers and fireworks, and put them in two big boxes, ready for the first thirty of the year (thirty twelve in the year). With the change of the time, although the firecrackers did not change, but the fireworks have become different shapes, and the fireworks are more beautiful than the year. Whenever I think of the process of the fireworks, I think my courage is big. Every time I lit my heart, I ran far away, because I was afraid of being hurt by the fireworks. Of course I've never been bombed. Especially the thirty years time is twelve o'clock, the most spectacular, the scene really can be used to describe all kinds of fireworks, fireworks contests, flying in the sky high, and a more than a high, a more than a ring. At twelve o'clock at midnight, it looks very spectacular. Every time I get there, I will be very excited and happy. The whole person will be drowning in the night without sleep.
But after the Spring Festival, China has returned to peace.
I want to take advantage of the new year. I wish you a happy new year and all the best.
