防火的英語(yǔ)作文 篇3
People are alarmed by the succession of campus fires in recent years. In each of these accidents, heavy casualties were reported – houses were burned down, students lost their lives, and properties were damaged. Faced with such a chilling fact, people keep asking, “What on earth results in these repeated tragedies?”
A brief survey of them reveals that human factors still prove to be the leading causes. For example, three of these fires were caused by the students’ use of electric water-heaters. As students often leave the heaters unattended, the risks are rather high should the water in the bottle boil dry while no one is around to turn off the power. In other cases, fires were also caused by stoves, candles, cigarette butts, etc.
Since most of these disasters could have been prevented if proper precautions had been taken, students should be better educated on the importance and measures of fire control. The following three reminders are of particular importance for us students: First, learn how to use a fire extinguisher. Second, double-check candles, heaters, stoves and other electric appliances, and make sure there are no open flames before leaving rooms. Lastly, do not smoke in the dorm.

防火的英語(yǔ)作文 篇6
As we all know, fire is one of the most terrible killers in our modern society. We know that fire is mainly caused by smokers, followed by defective insulations and children playing with matches. In 2002 ,thousands of fire happened all over the country, of which 50 percent was caused by smokers who left cigarette-ends everywhere. Those who smoke should make sure that the cigarettes are stubbed out before being thrown away. Also, smoking should not be allowed in public places. 30 percent of fire was caused by defective insulation. Workers should know the importance of good insulation for people‘s lives. At homes we must pay special attention to electric wires and make sure that they are safe. 20 percent of fire are caused by children playing with matches. We should warn children of the danger of playing with matches.
No matter what type of the reason it was, there was one thing in common:carelessness. So if everyone in the country is careful enough, more fire could be avoided.

防火的.英語(yǔ)作文 篇8
There was a big fire in one office building in our neighborhood at about nine4 o'clock last night. Many firemen and fire engines came. In the beginning, we saw flames with thick black smoke coming out from the sixth floor; and we also heard the explosion of the gas tank mixed with the noisy sounds from shattering windows. Soon the fire spread one by one to the floors above, and finally reach the top floor. Some aluminum window frames and some brick walls meted and collapsed from the heat. Many people like myself stood outside on the streets watching the fire in horror as we heard the sirens and gas explosions. Luckily there was no one in that office building when the fire broke out. The fire-men were unable to control the fire until the top floor was burned out; it took about one and a half hours for the firemen to put out the big fire. The next morning newspapers carried the story and pictures of the fire.
防火的英語(yǔ)作文 篇9
One night, when I was about to go to sleep, I suddenly heard an explosion of bomb. I watched out from the window and saw that heavy smog rise from a factory near my home.
Then flames leap out. My father realized that it was an explosion and then caused a fire. He called 119 and 120 immediately.
At the same time, my neighborhoods looked out from balconies and windows. They made phone calls, telling others what happened, or discussed with others. After a while, several fire engines and ambulances arrived.
They immediately starting to put out the fire and rescue the trapped people. About half an hour later, the fire was put out, two people injured and no people died. It was lucky.
However, it reminds us that we should focus on preventing fire carefully in daily life. A slightest mistake may cause serious consequences.

Many people now rive and work in very tart buildings. It is often not so easy to get away from these buildings in an emergency, resulting in great toss of lives. So how to survive in case of a fire is a problem concerning all those involved.
No one knows for sure when a fire witt happen,so it is extremely necessary to make preparations before a fire starts. Check the fire escape in advance and make sure that you can find it in the dark when lights have failed. Find out where the nearest fire extinguisher is and read the instructions to learn how to use it.
Don't lose your head if unfortunately a fire breaks out. First, telephone the fire department immediately when the fire just gets started. Take care not to be overcome by smoke, which containing monoxide gas,can kill you quickly. Cover your mouth with a wet towel or a wet cloth, and avoid getting into the smoke. Don't get in an elevator,as you may get trapped if the electricity fails. If you can not get away by yourself,it is of great importance to hang something out of the window to attract attention as a sign of asking for help.
In short,if you make preparations before hand and take precautions during the fire, chances are that you will survive in case of a fire if it really breaks out some day.
防火的英語(yǔ)作文 篇13
In recent years there has been a marked growth of fire accidents in big cities of our country. Almost every day we see fire engines rushing through the streets. Fires have not only resulted in heavy economic losses but also injured and killed many people.
What are the causes of fire accidents? Most of the fires are brought about by carelessness and violation of fire safety regulations. Others are due to the poor quality of home electrical appliances. By the way, some people don't know how to use them properly. Besides, there are quite a few businesses which focus so much of their attention on profits that they tend to neglect and even ignore fire precautions.
In my opinion,in order to prevent fires we should first of all foster people's sense of fire prevention. The second thing we have to do is to increase the number of professional fire fighters,to whom regular training courses should be offered. Finally,we are to improve the existing fire engines and add more fire facilities to high-rise buildings. In this way,a reliable fire prevention system will be formed.

防火的英語(yǔ)作文 篇15
When you are caught in a fire, don’t be nervous. If there is thick smoke surrounding you, you should try your best to lower your body and at the same time use a wet towel to cover your mouth and nose.
Don’t jump from a high building. You can fasten ropes or sheets to some firm things and slide down the ropes or sheets. Don’t be unwilling to leave your money behind. You should run away from the fire as quickly as you can. After all, life is more important than money. Once you get out of the fire, don’t return to it again.
