As I enter the XI campus, with its grey arched south gate,I notice an avenue. Go straight down this avenue I can see the Hong Yuan building with 9 storeys high. In front of this building lies a square, on which stands a grass area.

Next to this building is a lake, which has been carved up into two parts by a charming arch bridge. There are many easeful stone chairs nearby the lake which provided convenience for us to have a fresh air under the shinny green trees. We can enjoy our weekend in the beautiful pavilion with the artificial lake. Go across the garden and walk toward the west, the starting point in my view is two mini moutons surrounding around.

There are steps up to the top of the hill directly which offer us a chance to do exercise and have relaxations during our spare time.

Our YIFU library is famous in our university for its magnificent structures and comfortable screen. The lake in front of the library adds more vigor to the atmosphere of studying.

Our campus is as beautiful as a painting at all seasons. The scenery of trees and flowers could always make you feel warm just like at your own home.

All I have said above is not enough to show you our fantastic campus,if you want to verify my words, welcome.

Why is it difficult for college students to find a job?

It is said more than one million Chinese college students graduated without jobs last year. The situation this year probably is worse than that in the last year, because there are more students who will graduate. Now the job markets everywhere all are very crowded, but only a few percentage of the students can find a job there. On the other hand, many students choose to take part in entrance test for graduated students. In fact graduate studying just is a buffer for employment. Graduate students also confront a problem of employment. What cause the employment difficulty of the college students on earth? I think there are at least four main reasons that we can't ignore.

First, the most direct reason is that the increase in the number of college students. In order to impulse the development of economy, our education has been industrialized by the government. In this case, the colleges and universities try their best to enlarge the number of students. Because the more students means the more profit. However, the speed of society development is slower than the speed of the increase of graduated students. The society can't provide enough job positions and that cause a large number of surplus students in the job market.

Second, the bad quality of our education causes that college students don't have enough competition ability in the society. Today, our higher education usually pays too much attention to the theory and basic knowledge and don't pay enough attention to the practical technique ability. We often can find a student who doesn't have a practical ability after 4 years studying in the college or university. Certainly it is difficult for such a student to find a job. On the other hand, with the increase of students drastically, almost in every college and university, the conditions of teaching, including the quantity and quality of teachers and the facility of teaching, aren't developed in a match speed so that that can't meet the requirement of the student. Under this situation, the quality of teaching must be very bad. As a result, many college students usually don’t have any competition in the job market.

Third, today's students always pursue their own material interest. They always want to have a good job in a good company or government department, in a good city and with a good salary. This also causes the drastic competition in the big cities' job market. However, in the vast countryside and small cities, there are many vacant positions that students don't want to accept. This is a social problem also is an educational problem. On the one hand, the whole social atmosphere that money and comfort have been the only pursue of everybody has affected the student largely. On the other hand, the education doesn't make an effective guide. Today, in every school, politics and philosophy courses always are the least important courses, except in the politics and philosophy department. Therefore most students don't have a lofty worldview. They just follow the mainstream of the society and they always think over their own interests in finding jobs. So students always feel they can't find a content job.

Finally, the social unfairness causes the bad situation in the job market. On the one hand, there are many surplus graduate students, but on the other hand, many companies and enterprises often refuse to accept new employees, even though they do need some employees. They usually think of their own interests and are afraid that the new employees can threaten their positions. In many monopoly industries and government departments, the phenomenon is rather grave. Many people there are not eligible but they occupy the positions and new employees can't replace them. As a result, many monopoly industries and government departments increasingly can't keep up with the step of society. That also causes a large waste and lost of excellent persons with ability.

To sum up, the educational industrialization and bad quality and the social unfairness cause the grave employment problem of college students. The government must take effective measures to solve the problem. I think now improving education quality and banning the education industrialization are the most urgent and important things. At the same time, the government and schools should enact new policies to encourage students to go to the undeveloped areas and to carve careers by themselves.

the bustle of the hospital was a welcome distraction as i opened my new patients chart and headed for her room. my son, eric, had just brought home a disappointing report card, and my daughter, shannon, and i had argued again about her getting a drivers license. for the net eight hours i wanted to throw myself into helping people who i knew had much more to worry about than i did.

rebekah was only 32, admitted for chemotherapy after breast-cancer surgery, when i entered her room it took me a moment to spot her amid the bouncing forms of three giggling little girls.

i told rebekah i would be her nurse and she introduced her husband, warren; si-year-old ruthie; four-year-old hannah; and two-year-old molly. warren coaed the girls away from their mother with a promise of ice cream and assured rebekah they would return the net day.

as i rubbed alcohol on her arm to prepare it for the intravenous line, rebekah laughed nervously. i have to tell you im terrified of needles. itll be over before you know it, i said. ill give you a count of three.

rebekah shut her eyes tightly and murmured a prayer until it was over. then she smiled and squeezed my hand. before you go, could you get my bible from the table? i handed her the worn book. do you have a favorite bible verse? she asked. jesus wept. john 11: 35. such a sad one, she said. why?

it makes me feel closer to jesus, knowing he also eperienced human sorrow.

rebekah nodded thoughtfully and started flipping through her bible as i shut the door quietly behind me.

during the following months i watched rebekah struggle with the ravages of chemotherapy. her hospital stays became frequent and she worried about her children. meanwhile i continued to contend with raising my own kids. they always seemed either out or holed up in their rooms. i missed the days when they were as attached to me as rebekahs little girls were to her.

for a time it had seemed rebekahs chemotherapy was working. then doctors discovered another malignant lump. two months later, a chest -ray revealed the cancer had spread to her lungs. it was terminal. help me to help her through this, i prayed.

one day when i entered her room, i found her talking into a tape recorder. she picked up a yellow legal pad and held it out to me. im making a tape for my daughters, she said.

i read the list on her pad: starting school, confirmation, turning 16, first date, graduation. while i worried how to help her deal with death, she was planning for her childrens future.

she usually waited until the early hours of the morning to record the tapes so she could be free from interruptions. she filled them with family stories and advice?trying to cram a lifetime of love into a few precious hours. finally, every item in her notes had been checked off and she entrusted the tapes to her husband.

i often wondered what i would say in her place. my kids joked that i was like an fbi agent, with my constant questions about where theyd been and who theyd been with. where, i thought, are my words of encouragement and love?

it was three oclock one afternoon when i got an urgent call from the hospital. rebekah wanted me to come immediately with a blank tape. what topic has she forgotten? i wondered.

she was flushed and breathing hard when i entered her room. i slipped the tape into the recorder and held the microphone to her lips. ruthie, hannah, molly?this is the most important tape. she held my hand and closed her eyes. someday your daddy will bring home a new mommy. please make her feel special. show her how to take care of you. ruthie, honey, help her get your brownie uniform ready each tuesday. hannah, tell her you dont want meat sauce on your spaghetti. she wont know you like it separate. molly, dont get mad if theres no apple juice. drink something else. its okay to be sad, sweeties. jesus cried too. he knows about sadness and will help you to be happy again. remember, ill always love you.

i shut off the recorder and rebekah sighed deeply. thank you, nan, she said with a weak smile. youll give this one to them, wont you? she murmured as she slid into sleep.

a time would come when the tape would be played for rebekahs children, but right then, after i smoothed rebekahs blanket, i got in my car and hurried home. i thought of how my shannon also liked her sauce on the side and suddenly that quirk, which had annoyed me so many times, seemed to make her so much more precious. that night the kids didnt go out; they sat with me long after the spaghetti sauce had dried onto the dishes. and we talked ? without interrogations, without complaints?late into the night.

Pop music is held I contempt by many people. In these people’s eyes pop music is always in sharp contrast to “l(fā)ofty music”. The latter refers to symphonies and operas of the European countries. They show great concern for the fact that many people prefer pop music to symphonies, because for them pop music should be excluded from the holy palace of music.

Conversely, many people have an order for pop music. They argue that people who want us to listen to symphonies are advocating a kind of “elite culture”. This notion is unacceptable to pop music fans, for they don’t believe that symphonies are loftier than pop music. The difference only lies in the interests of different people. It is unfair to speak of pop music with contempt while speaking of symphonies with awe.

In conclusion, my idea is that just as there is no distinction between high culture and low culture, so it is inappropriate to say pop music belongs to the “l(fā)ower” people whereas symphonies in a higher, loftier form of music. After all, there are many badly-composed symphonies. And we can’t expect every piece of pop music to be excellent. Pop music reflects the thoughts and interests of a certain age group of a generation. It is the product of a certain age, but it also has something universal, something that belongs to all human beings, that underlies its great success among people. In this sense it is rather foolish for some people of media to show great concern simply because many people prefer pop music. Anyway pop music has become an indispensable part of the human family.
