It is inevitable that most senior students have to choose between pursuing their studies and seeking employment in a certain field. Personally, I prefer to procure a job first after graduation.
To begin with, the current trend is that hands-on experience is as important as a degree if not even more so. Especially in dynamic subjects like business, international trade and journalism, employers tend to place more focus on experience than academic performance. This point can be illustrated by the fact that most companies require their new employees to have a certain amount of work experience. In addition, even with students who intend to further their study, knowledge learn at work can help them decide what their focus should be. Otherwise, students enrolled in a postgraduate programme may have to face the challenge of not knowing what his strengths are. Last, students generally speaking can benefit more from a masters programme when they can relate the knowledge back to tasks at work. In this way, instead of being confined in a pure academic environment, students can actually apply the knowledge learn in class to real situations, which is undoubtedly the ultimate aim of higher education.
In conclusion, I believe that graduates should gain work experience first before embarking on postgraduate studies.
When it comes to take a job in a company or go to a graduate school after graduation, peoples ideas vary from person to person. Some people advocate the former, others choose the latter.Form my perspective of view,I prefer to take a job.My reasons are as follows.
First of all, studying a post requires a large fee, which is exactly what I do n’t have.Secondly,I want to work to help my parents repay their debts.Inaddition, though going to a graduate school can make up for the regrets of the college entrance examination and improve ones horizons,it costs long time.Besides, three years is enough to accumulate wealth and develop contacts. Last but not least, if you have insufficient academic qualifications, you can also choose to work while studying.
In a word, these two options have their own advantages, and everyone has a reasonable reason.
In todays fast-paced and competitive world, many individuals upon completion of their undergraduate studies face the critical decision between launching straight into the workforce or embarking on the pursuit of a postgraduate degree such as a Masters.
This essay delves into the intricacies of this choice, weighing the potential benefits and drawbacks of each path.Undoubtedly, entering the job market immediately after graduation offers several advantages. Firstly, it allows for practical application of the knowledge and skills acquired during university years. It provides real-world experience which can be invaluable in enhancing professional development and networking opportunities. Moreover, starting work early often means commencing earnings and financial independence, enabling one to gain economic stability and start saving for future goals like purchasing a house, further education, or even investing in personal projects.
On the other hand, pursuing a Masters degree presents its own set of merits. It is an opportunity for deeper specialization within a chosen field, equipping students with advanced theoretical understanding and research capabilities. A higher degree often leads to better job prospects, higher earning potential over the long term, and positions with greater responsibility and influence.
Additionally, the academic environment fosters critical thinking, problem-solving, and innovation, preparing graduates not just for jobs that exist currently, but also for those yet to emerge in a rapidly evolving global economy. However, opting for graduate school comes with challenges too, including significant financial investment without immediate income, increased pressure, and the possibility of delaying career progression.
Furthermore, the relevance of a Masters degree depends largely on the industry; some fields may prioritize hands-on experience more than advanced degrees.Ultimately, the decision to either begin working or continue studying hinges on personal career aspirations, financial circumstances, the state of the job market in ones field, and individual learning preferences. It requires careful self-assessment, thorough research about the requirements of potential careers, and consideration of the broader socio-economic landscape. Both paths can lead to success, and the key lies in aligning ones choices with their long-term vision and life goals. In conclusion, the work versus study dilemma is deeply personal and multifaceted, reflecting the complexity of modern career trajectories.
Each individual must weigh the benefits and challenges unique to their situation before making an informed decision that will chart the course of their professional journey.
It has always been a hot topic whether collegians should go on study at a graduate school or just find a job when they graduate. Some people think that students should broaden their knowledge circle and attend graduate school. Some hold that students should find a job to make a living. In my point of view, Im for the former for I think student should keep on study to get more knowledge.
To begin with, most students in college just have a comprehensive knowledge which is not professional, so they should keep on studying to become an expert in certain field. If they go to find a job after graduate, they may do a bad performance in the job because of the pertinency of the job. Therefore, students should attend graduate school after they graduate.
Second, collegians can get a better paid job in the future if they attend graduate school. Generally, there are too many job seekers with bachelors degree, so they are paid little when they find jobs at the first time. However, students with masters degree are paid more than the bachelors degree when they find a job for the first time. Moreover, many companies prefer to hire students with a higher degree, so the masters degree holders will be the priority of recruiters compared with the bachelors.
In conclusion, when students graduate, it is good for them to attend graduate school in order to become more professional in their area and get a better job in the future.
There has been much controversy over part-time jobs for students. People who are against it hold that the sole purpose of higher education is for the students to acquire knowledge. If they are engaged in part-time job they will be invariably distracted from their studies and as a result they can not fulfill the requirements mapped out by the State Education Commission.
I, however, think that there are several advantages for students involved in part-time jobs. Firstly, part-time jobs provide opportunities for students to contact society so as to know the situation of the talent market. For instance, if a student works as a part-time governess, he or she will know what kind of professionals are urgently needed by the market and this will help him to choose a future job. Secondly, there are some financial gains from part-time jobs. Since the reform was carried out, institutions of higher education have started to collect tuition fees from students. Needless to say this means another financial burden on parents. And part-time jobs can serve as a partial solution to this problem. Last but not least, part-time jobs can cultivate students sense of independence.
To sum up, part-time jobs can do a lot more good than bad to students as long as they can make best use of their time and raise the efficiency of their study.
