　　蟬為么會(huì)發(fā)音，對(duì)我來說一直是個(gè)謎。為了揭開這個(gè)秘密，我常常躲在樹下悄悄地觀察。我發(fā)現(xiàn)蟬鳴時(shí)，總是“挺胸”、“翹尾”。

　　這是為什么呢？一天，我捉到了一只蟬，進(jìn)行了觀察研究。我摘掉了蟬的翅膀，把它放在地上，它在地上撲打著小翅膀，叫著；我又折斷了它針狀式的嘴，可它仍然叫著。蟬究竟靠什么發(fā)音呢？經(jīng)過反復(fù)觀察，我發(fā)現(xiàn)這聲音好像是從胸部發(fā)出來的。于是，我把它捉起來看，發(fā)現(xiàn)它凹部的'兩側(cè)，各有一片魚鱗似的硬殼，像鉗甲一樣，里面有一對(duì)透明薄膜。蟬嗚時(shí)，簿膜地回動(dòng)，我用手輕輕地一捍這個(gè)地方，蟬就叫了。我不停地捏，它就不停地叫。我想：這對(duì)簿膜就是它發(fā)音器吧！我把簿膜刺破，再怎么捏，它也不叫了。后來媽媽告訴我這是蟬的“響板”，是雄蟬特殊發(fā)音器。發(fā)音膜的肌肉收縮振動(dòng)，蟬就會(huì)發(fā)出聲音。雌蟬沒有“響板”，所以是啞巴。
