As far as I know,river pollution exist so many places in our country.A great deal of dead fish can be found floating on the surface of the river because of the serious pollution.Besides river pollution,there are also air pollution,soil pollution and so on.They have done great harm to human lives.Fortunately,more and more people have come to realize how serious the problem is.The government has begun to take measures to fight against pollution.But there is still a long way to go.We should take care of our earth and try our best to win the buttle against pollutin.

In modern society, we tend to become more and more aware of our living environment or physical environment, because we are not clean as before. So many people now choose their house as to its environment but not its location and expenses to afford it. As we all know, the environment pollution is more and more serious during these years, what we could do is to make great efforts in protecting environment gradually. As to government pollution, as to common people. We also try to protect it and make it remain clean. Although we have managed to protect the environment to a certain extent. This August I went to a two-week long English camp which was held by English Beacon in Yantai city, Shandong Province. There were over a hundred middle school students from all over the country and thirty experts in English teaching participating in this exciting camp. While we were there, it was required that we speak only English to our teachers and with each other. There were many activities which were funny and helped us to strengthen our oral English skills, such as, the Second Annual National Debate for Middle School Students, the Third National English Speech Competition for Middle School Students and English parties. We also visited many places of interest. Learning English was exciting and the teachers were very friendly and helpful. This camp was a real life-changing experience that I will never forget.
今年八月，我參加了由《英語(yǔ)輔導(dǎo)報(bào)》在山東煙臺(tái)舉辦的為期兩周的英語(yǔ)夏令營(yíng)活動(dòng)。來(lái)自全國(guó)各地的一百多名中學(xué)生和三十名英語(yǔ)教育專家參加了此次活動(dòng)，在那兒我們只能用英語(yǔ)交流。此次夏令營(yíng)舉辦了許多有趣且提高口語(yǔ)能力的活動(dòng)，比如第二后全國(guó)中學(xué)生辯論賽，第三后全國(guó)中學(xué)生英語(yǔ)演講賽和英語(yǔ)晚會(huì)。我們還參觀了許多名勝。學(xué)英語(yǔ)很有趣，老師對(duì)我們也很和藹，給了我們?cè)S多幫助。這次夏令營(yíng)真實(shí)的生活體驗(yàn)令我永遠(yuǎn)難忘。

Every member should communicate with each other in English. All of us were very happy and excited in the camp. We visited many places of interest. But what impressed us most was the English party. Some were singing in English and others were dancing. We learnt a great deal, including how to study English, communicate with each other and help other people. I want to take part in it next year.

Developing Economy or Protecting Environment?
Some people hold that we should put developing the cconomy in the first place.Only by further balancing and developing our economy can we get rid of poverty and gain the overall development of the coun-try.Otherwise,many people,espccially in rural areas,may live in pov-erty and their children may drop out of school because they could not af-ford compulsory education.
On the other hand,many people insist that environmental protec-tion should be a top priority.They hold that it is the rapid and unrestrict-ed development of economy that leads to the present situation in which most parts of the world are polluted.If the problem is left unsolved,someday we may not survive on this planet,let alone develop our econ-omy.
In my opinion,both economy and environmental protection are our urgent tasks at hand.Without economic development,we would remain backward.And without environmental protection,we would lose our homes.It seems that the best solution is to develop environ-mental-protection-oriented enterprises so as to "kill two birds with one stone".
